I downloaded FindIt yesterday after the developer pinged the community about his application...
I rate this application 4 stars on a 5 star scale with 5 being the highest.
Just yesterday I accidentially misplaced my 8830 at my mom's house. I simply went to my Dad's computer and emailed myself per the developer's instructions and BAM! My blackberry started chirping like someone was trying to steal it. Also I wrote a pop up message in my email that showed up as a pop-up on my blackberry... Pretty cool feature.
Now to turn the alert off you simply have to open an application on the blackberry.
I like this program more for its usefulness and ease of use. Nothing complicated about it at all.
FindIt has a thread of its own from its developer.
Methinks the 4.99 is worth it.
